Filming Shoots (Pictures)

Bracklesham Beach Shoot:

On this location I aimed to shoot a time-lapse of the sun setting as well as clips of people doing sports in the sea as they are in a silhouette, here you can see how I've set up my camera on a tri-pod to have a stable platform for my video, especially in a time-lapse you have to make sure the camera is in the same position throughout so the time-lapse is smooth and realistic.

For most of my shoots involving locations i will be shooting them on my own because they don't involve any people. Here is my camera on a time lapse of the sea and sun going down. I changed the setting  of my camera so it was appropriate for filming, doing this is had to change the frame rate of the film, I will be aware to do this throughout my music video because different frame rates can make editing slow motion and Speed up sections look smoother in my music video instead of making them choppy I want them smooth. As I planned to make a speed up time lapse I recorded for just under a minute on a higher frame rate, I knew that from my plan I didn't want a long time-lapse this is why I didn't film for long. After this I then recorded clips of people in the water so my music video would include more people not just the actors I will have throughout, doing this brought the clip to life and added more to the foreground other then just a sunset, the clip also wasn't staged so it made for a more realistic vibe in my music video.

The Beach House Shoot (My Neighbors House)

For this filming shoot you can see I used a tripod throughout this shoot, I had to use a larger tripod in this to make the shoot look more professional but having the over all shoot look as if it was taken from further away, with this is had to put my camera on its tripod and put the tripod to the highest it could go, this made it higher then the model in this clip and making it looks as if the camera was far away and it made it easier to capture the background of the sea and sun as well as having the balcony, the model and further on in the distance, I also had my lens at 55 the furthest it could go. With the shots I had taken at this location I varied the lens and the tripod multiple times for each different shot, some close-up,median shots, long shots etc, this was enough different shots to insure i had a variety to spread them across the music video when i needed a person in a certain point. I also used myself for this clips to ensure I got exactly what I was looking for and to make the filming process faster
